Pinaghahanap na ngayon ng batas si dating Muntinlupa City Mayor Aldrin San Pedro at 11 iba pa dahil sa kinakaharap nilang kasong katiwalian sa umano’y maanomalyang pagbili ng mga trolley bag na aabot sa P22 milyon noong 2008.
Ito ay makaraang magpalabas ng warrant of arrest ang 2nd division ng Sandiganbayan kasunod na rin ng pagbasura ng hukuman sa mosyon ng mga ito na humihiling na ibasura ang kanilang kaso.
“We have reviewed the allegations in the Information and the supporting documents charging the accused for Violation of Section 3 (e) of RA 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act,” bahagi ng ruling ng anti-graft court.
Ang naturang resolusyon ay pirmado nina Associate Justices Napoleon Inoturan, Teresita Diaz-Baldoz (Division chairman), at Michael Frederick Musngi.

“After a careful evaluation of accused separate motions, we find the contentions therein not sufficient to set aside the findings of probable cause, and we rule that there exists probable cause to justify the issuance of warrants of arrest with respect to all accused,” sabi ng korte.
Paliwanag ng hukuman sa pagbasura sa mosyon ng mga akusado, ang argumento ng mga ito ay nararapat lamang na talakayin sa panahon ng paglilitis, na hihimayin ang merito ng mga ebidensiya ng prosecution panel.
“A finding of probable cause does not require an inquiry as to whether there is sufficient evidence to secure a conviction… At this stage of the criminal proceeding, the judge is not yet tasked to review in detail the evidence submitted during the preliminary investigation of the Ombudsman,” ayon sa hukuman.
