YANGON, Myanmar (AP) - Tuluyang pinalaya ang mahigit 100 political prisoner sa Myanmar, sa bisa ng amnestiya na ipinag-utos ng bagong de facto leader ng bansa na si Aung San Suu Kyi.
Iniulat ng pahayagang Global New Light of Myanmar, na inihayag ng pulisya na aabot sa 113 political detainee ang pinalaya sa bansa.
“Today’s release of most of the student protesters is a huge step forward for human rights in Myanmar, and we are delighted that these men and women will walk free,” pahayag ni Laura Haigh, Myanmar researcher ng human rights group na Amnesty International.
