Kinasuhan ng Office of the Ombudsman ng limang bilang ng perjury si dating Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) branch manager Artemio San Juan, Jr. dahil sa maling deklarasyon sa kanyang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) mula 1999 hanggang 2003.

Nakasaad sa inilabas na resolusyon ng Ombudsman na napatunayan na hindi binanggit ni San Juan ang business interests nito sa Julia Club and Restaurant Company, P9.1 million bank deposit at P8.6million shares of stock.

“By making wrongful declarations and omitting to declare his business interests, various bank accounts and shares of stocks that he owned for several consecutive years, the respondent did not submit a true detailed sworn statement of assets and sources of income,” nakapaloob sa resolusyon.

Ayon sa Ombudsman, hindi kapani-paniwala na makakalimutan ni San Juan na maghain ng tamang SALN dahil sa tagal at haba ng panahon para gawin ito.
