ISANG malaking tagumpay ang katatapos na 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies na ginanap sa Newport Performing Art Theatre, Resorts World Manila noong Linggo ng gabi, ika-6 ng Marso, 2016.
Wagi ng Best Picture at Best Director respectively ang Felix Manalo at si Direk Joel Lamangan, nasungkit ni Bea Alonzo ang Best Actress award para sa A Second Chance at nag-tie naman sa Best Actor sina Piolo Pascual at Dennis Trillo para sa kani-kanilang pelikulang Silong at Felix Manalo.
Sa indie films, napagwagian ng Bambanti ang Best Picture at ang direktor nitong si Zig Dulay ang Best Director.
Hosts ng awarding rites sina Piolo Pascual, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Alex Gonzaga, Bela Padilla at Robie Domingo.
Naghandog ng awitin sina Jed Madela, Yeng Constantino, Christian Bautista, Morisette Amon, Mark Bautista at Juris bilang pagbibigay-pugay sa ‘Love Teams & Love Themes of Philippine Cinema.’
Humataw sa dance floor ang Hashtags na binubuo nina Zeus Collins, Jon Lucas, Jameson Blake, Ryle Santiago, Luke Conde, Jimboy Martin, Ronnie Alonte, McCoy de Leon, Nikko Natividad, Tom Doromal at Paulo Angeles.
Madamdaming awitin ang inihandog ni Martin Nievera bilang tribute sa namayapang Master Showman German Moreno. Ang pamangkin ng Kuya Germs na si John Nite ang tumanggap ng parangal.
Para sa ‘Movie Love Team of The Year,’ nag-duet sina Angeline Quinto at Erik Santos. Wagi sina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla (KathNiel) para sa special award na ito.
Ipinagkaloob kay Ms. Amalia Fuentes ang Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award, na tinanggap ng pamangkin niyang si Niño Muhlach; at ang Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award ay personal na tinanggap ni Direk Mel Chionglo.
Sa pamunuan ng kasalukuyang pangulo ng PMPC na si Fernan de Guzman, ang 32nd PMPC Star Awards For Movies ay mula sa Airtime Marketing Philippines at sa direksiyon ni Bert de Leon. Mapapanood ang kabuuan ng palabas sa ABS-CBN Sunday’s Best sa March 13, 2016.
