Sinasala ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang mga atletang tinanghal na Most Outstanding Athlete sa ginanap na Batang Pinoy para maisama sa delegasyon ng bansa na isasabak sa 6th Children of Asia International Sports Festival sa Yakutzk, Russia.

“There are still a lot of young athletes, not just simple athletes but exceptional ones who can joined the delegation,” pahayag ni POC Director for grassroots sports development Romeo Magat.

“We already sent entry by number as suggested by the organizers although there are more being screened,” aniya.

May kabuuang 26 na atleta ang kabilang sa ipinadalang listahan ng bansa para sa paglahok sa 6th Children of Asia International Sports Games na gaganapin sa Hulyo 5-17 sa Yakutsk, Sakha Republic ng Yakutia.

Nakatakdang sumabak ang Pilipinas sa 22 event ng kabuuang siyam na sports sa torneo na itinataguyod ng International Olympic Committee (IOC) at suportado ng Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

“Only gold medal winners from the PSC program Batang Pinoy can participate in the delegation,” ayon kay Magat.

Ang mga sports na paglalabanan sa 6th Children Of Asia ay basketball, boxing, volleyball, judo, kurash, table tennis, mas-wrestling, powerlifting, swimming, shooting, sambo, freestyle Wrestling, archery, skeet shooting, taekwondo, football, khapsagai, draughts, chess, rhythmic gymnastics, yakut jumps at athletics.
