ABUJA (AFP) – Apatnapung katao ang nasawi sa Nigeria sa hinihinalang epidemya ng Lassa fever sa 10 estado sa bansa, ayon kay Health Minister Isaac Adewole.
“The total number (of suspected cases) reported is 86 and 40 deaths, with a mortality rate of 43.2 percent,” sinabi ni Adewole sa news conference sa kabiserang Abuja.
Aniya, nakumpirma sa mga laboratory test na 22 sa 86 hinihinalang kaso ay totoong Lassa fever.
