Nanawagan ang civil society group na Social Watch Philippines na maging alisto sa pagsubaybay sa paggastos ng gobyerno sa 2016 kasabay ng pag-aakusa sa administrasyong Aquino ng pagsiksik sa 2016 national budget ng malaking halaga ng pork barrel na maaaring gamitin para sa halalan.

“The 2016 General Appropriations Act (GAA) of P2.139 trillion which was recently signed by the President into law is loaded with pork and lump sum appropriations,” sabi ni dating national treasurer Leonor Magtolis Briones, SWS lead convenor sa isang press statement.

Sinabi ni Briones na kaduda-duda ang P67.5 billion sa unprogrammed funds at P408 billion sa special purpose funds sa P3.002-trillion budget.
