TOKYO (AFP) — Dapat alalahanin ng Japan ang mga mapait na aral ng World War II, sinabi ni Emperor Akihito sa isang panayam para markahan ang kanyang 82nd birthday noong Miyerkules, nagbalik-tanaw sa mga kaganapan sa 70th anniversary ng pagtatapos ng digmaan.
“I think I spent a year by thinking of the war from various viewpoints,” sabi ng emperor sa panayam ng mga mamamahayag na inilabas ng imperial household agency noong Miyerkules.
“The number of those who don’t know about the war is increasing year by year,” aniya.
“But I think for the sake of the future of Japan, it is extremely important to be fully aware of the war and deepen our thought,” dagdag niya.
