Hiniling ng mga delegado at opisyal ng mga Local Government Units (LGU) na maitakda ang isang national sports calendar kung saan kanilang masusundan ang lahat ng mga aktibidad sa sports ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), ang Department of Education (DepEd) at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Nagsalu-salo ang mga pananaw at suhestiyon gayundin ang kritisismo sa National Sports Stakeholders Forum (NSSF) mula sa 220 katao na dumalo sa dalawang araw na aktibidad bagaman nakatuon ang lahat para sa mas sistematiko at mas maayos na pagpapatupad ng mga programa.

Huling nagpresenta ang Department of Education, ang Department of Interior and Local Government at Philippine Olympic Committee kung saan nagtagal ng dalawang araw ang forum bunga ng maraming suhestiyon at hangarin mula sa mga nagsidalong opisyales at sports administrator ng mga LGU.

Isang resolusyon din ang nabuo na sinuportahan at nilagdaan mismo ng mga nagsidalong delegado mula sa siyudad at probinsiya sa kabuuang 17 rehiyon ng bansa sa paghahangad na mas lalong mapalakas ang elite at grassroots development sports sa bansa.

Nakasaad sa resolusyon ang anim na punto at mungkahi ng mga nagsidalo na ihahain sa Mababang Kapulungan para sa implementasyon kung hindi man maisagawa bilang batas upang maipatupad at maibahagi sa mas malawak at pinakamalalayong lugar sa bansa.

Isa dito ang “To reorganize Executive Order No. 63 (“Creating the National, Provincial, City, Municipal and Barangay Physical Fitness and Sports Development Councils”) and Executive Order No. 64 (“Adopting the National Policy and Program fo Sports For All by all Concerned Government Agencies based on the Sports Covenant forged during the 1st Philippine Sports Summit ’92 held in Baguio City to strengthen further the partnership of Department of Education, Department of Interior and Local Government, Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympics Committee, local government units and other stakeholders.

Kabilang din ang “To recommend to the Congress the inclusion of sports in the budget of local government units as mandated in the constitution,” at ang “To continue the dialogues periodically between DepEd, DILG, PSC, POC, LGU’s and other stakeholders to address concerns and issues ang implement the resolutions as discussed.”

Pinagtibay ang resolusyon sa Royal Hall, 5th floor, Tower 1, Crown Regency Hotels and Tower, sa Osmena Boulevard sa Cebu City. (Angie Oredo)
