Mahigit 10,000 kabataang Pinoy mula sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa ang makikibahagi sa 30-araw na “freedom voyage” upang ikondena ang umano’y panghihimasok ng China sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Inorganisa ng grupong “Kalayaan, Atin Ito,” inihayag ang protest activity, na magsisimula sa Nobyembre 30 (Araw ni Bonifacio) at magtatapos sa Disyembre 30 (Araw ni Rizal) sa pulong balitaan sa Quezon City kamakailan.
Binubuo ng mga estudyante mula sa 81 kolehiyo sa bansa, balak ng grupo na maglayag sa West Philippine Sea, at doon isasagawa ang payapa at maayos na kilos-protesta laban sa panghihimasok ng China sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas.
Sinabi ni retired Marine Capt. Nicanor Faeldon, isang volunteer, na ilulunsad ang freedom voyage upang iparamdam sa mundo na nagkakaisa ang mga Pinoy bilang isang bayan sa pagdedepensa sa kanilang teritoryo.

“We are not doing this to make China see it, as far as China is concerned we all know their position…what we are trying to do here is to make the whole world see our resolve as a nation, our unity as a nation,” pahayag ng dating rebeldeng sundalo.
Target ng grupo na makapaglayag sa pitong maliliit na isla at bahura na bahagi ng teritoryo ng Kalayaan Group of Islands ng Pilipinas.
“They are committed to this fight when a group of young volunteers conducted an information drive in their respective provinces from May 15 to October 30, 2015,” ayon kay Faeldon.
“The volunteers believe that until all citizens of this country have shown to the whole world our ability to unite and render free service to our nation, we do not have the right to ask for help from other countries,” dagdag niya.
Puntirya ng freedom voyage na makakalap ng suporta mula sa international community laban sa panghihimasok ng China.
