Pinahirapan ni Nietes sa loob ng walong rounds ang Mexican knockout artist kung saan ay ipinagdiinan nito sa pre-fight press conference na patutulugin niya sa pamamagitan ng matitinding left jabs at overhand rights ang kalaban, bukod pa na itutuon din ang atensiyon sa mga bigwas sa bodega ng challenger.
