HALOS magtatatlong oras na late sina Coco Martin at Toni Gonzaga sa presscon ng pelikulang You’re My Boss ng Star Cinema kasama ang director nilang si Antoinette Jadaone dahil galing pa sila sa shooting bukod pa sa natrapik.

Naintindihan naman ng entertainment press dahil alam na lagare sa maraming projects ang dalawang bida ng You’re My Boss na ipapalabas na sa Abril 4, Black Saturday.

Pagkatapos bumati at humingi ng dispensa sina Coco at Toni sa entertainment press ay kaagad na nagsabi na si Manay Ethel Ramos na may dapat sabihin si Toni hinggil sa kaliwa’t kanang bira sa kanya ng netizens sa estilo ng pagho-host niya sa Binibining Pilipinas 2015.

Pero nagpaliwanag muna si Toni sa Star Cinema at sa leading man niyang si Coco dahil nga gagamitin niya ang presscon para ipaliwanag ang sarili nangyari sa nasabing okasyon.

“This will be the first and the last time I will talk about this kasi noong Sunday pa po ito. We have all moved on from it. Tapos na po ‘yung coronation night and we have already declared the winners.

“Ang sa akin lang po, thank you very much to the committee of Binibining Pilipinas for giving me the opportunity to host such a wonderful event kasi first time kong ma-experience ‘yung ganu’n masayang crowd, ganu’n ka-wild na audience. It was definitely a memorable experience for me.

“To those who are not pleased and to those na parang naging national debate kung nagustuhan ba nila o hindi nagustuhan ang napanood nila, siyempre doon po sa hindi muna natuwa, I’m humbly asking for apology kung I have offended, or I have maligned or I have hurt anyone of you. It was never my intention,” paghingi ni Toni ng dispensa.

“But prior to the show, I was instructed to make the show fun, light, and ease the tension, especially during the Q&A portion. So, it was never my intention, again, it was instructed for me to host that way to make it lively and fun, of course, in the spirit of the celebration ng Binibining Pilipinas coronation night, ‘yun po ang stand ko do’n.

“And to everybody naman po, I don’t want to miss this opportunity to thank everyone, from the press, my friends in the industry who’ve been defending me at nagsasalita ng good and kind words sa akin, maraming salamat po I really and truly appreciate that from the bottom of my heart.

“And also I want to thank the Binibining Pilipinas committee for commending the job I did last Sunday, maganda po ‘yung mga sinabi nila sa akin, actually they texted me encouraging words and I want to thanked them for that, ‘yun po. In the spirit na rin po of beauty pageants, let’s end this issue with world peace.”

Napanood namin ang mga sinasabing pagpapatawa o nakaka-offend na sinabi ni Toni sa contestants, na para sa amin ay pampawala lang ng inip para sa mga manonood. Pero dahil nasanay na ang lahat na isang pormal na okasyon ang Binibining Pilipinas, pakiramdam ng iba ay binastos ng TV host/actress ang okasyon na sabi nga, ginawang perya o comedy bar ang pageant night.

In fairness, Bossing DMB, si Toni ang tinuligsa sa event na ito, hindi ang co-host niyang si Xian Lim na sa tuwing may event ay nabibira.
