Lumagpak sina Anderson Silva at Nick Diaz sa drug tests na may kinalaman sa UFC 183, ito ay ayon sa ulat ng mga opisyal ng UFC na lumabas noong Martes.
Hindi pumasa si Silva sa isang pre-fight exam, nagpositibo para sa Drostanolone metabolites, ayon pa sa statement. Si Diaz naman ay lumapgpak sa post-fight exam para sa marijuana, ayon naman sa iniulat ni Yahoo! Sports columnist Kevin Iole.
“On February 3, 2015, the UFC organization was notified by the Nevada State Athletic Commission that Anderson Silva tested positive for Drostanolone metabolites on his Jan. 9 out of competition drug test,” nakasaad sa UFC statement. “UFC’s understanding is that further testing will be conducted by the commission to confirm these preliminary results.
“Anderson Silva has been an amazing champion and a true ambassador of the sport of mixed martial arts and the UFC, in Brazil as well as around the world. UFC is disappointed to learn of these initial results.”

Idinagdag ng organisasyon na mayroon silang mahigpit na polisiya laban sa paggamit ng anumang iligal at performance-enhancing drugs.
Wala pang komento ang mga opisyal tungkol sa post-fight test ni Diaz. Ayon kay Iole, si Diaz ay nagpositibo sa higit sa allowable limit.
