SIERRA LEONE (AFP)— Nagdeklara ang gobyerno ng Sierra Leone ng five-day lockdown sa hilaga ang bansa sa pagsisikap na malabanan ang epidemya ng Ebola, ngunit may Christmas exception.
“Muslims and Christians are not allowed to hold services in mosques and churches throughout the lockdown except for Christians on Christmas Day (December 25, 2014),” sinabi ni Alie Kamara, resident minister ng Northern Region, sa AFP.
Ipinahayag ang lockdown noong Disyembre 24, 2014 “to intensify the containment of the Ebola virus,” ani Kamara, idinagdag na: “We are working to break the chain of transmission.”
