Naiinis na rin si Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez sa patuloy na paggamit ni Floyd Mayweather Jr. sa Instagram ng pagpapatulog niya kay Manny Pacquaio noong 2012 kaya hinamon niya ang WBe at WBA welterweight champion na harapin sa unification bout ang Pinoy boxer.

Sinagot ni Pacquiao sa Instagram si Mayweather sa pagbibigay ng bagong kahulugan sa "TBE" na bansag ni Mayweather sa sarili bilang "The Best Ever." Ngunit para kay Pacquiao, "The Best Excuses" ang tunay na kahulugan nito sa patuloy na pag-iwas sa kanya ng Amerikano.

Sa panayam ng ESPN Deportes, iginiit ni Marquez na masisisi si Mayweather kapag hindi nilabanan ang nag-iisang eight division world boxing champion sa buong mundo.

"People will blame Mayweather if the Pacquiao fight does not happen," ani Marquez. "If Floyd wants to be known as the best fighter ever, he needs to demonstrate it by taking this fight and beating the man who was considered the pound for pound best for many years in Manny Pacquiao.”

“Mayweather needs to stop posting videos and pictures on social media mocking Pacquiao and just take the fight,” dagdag ni Marquez. “After the fight he can say whatever he wants but until then, the most important thing is accepting the fight!”

Kaugnay nito, napinsala ang kanang tuhod ni Marquez habang nagsasanay sa Romanza Gym sa Mexico City kaya lalong lumabo na harapin niya si Pacquiao sa ikalimang pagkakataon.

“We trained on Monday and Tuesday and everything was fine, but on Wednesday we started training and I began to [have an issue with the] right knee, and right now the important thing is to treat it and see if we can return the following week to train and see what happens in the future,” paliwanag ni Marquez na patuloy tumatangging muling harapin ang Pinoy boxer.
