Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Operations Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. na nakikiisa ang Palasyo sa pagbubunyi sa pinakahuling panalo ni Pacquiao.

“Strength, grit, and courage were written all over his face and demeanor throughout the fight. With every punch that scored, millions of Filipinos cheered him to victory from all corners of the country and the world,” pahayag ni Coloma.
“Congressman Manny Pacquiao embodies and personifies the Filipinos’ outstanding qualities—audacious, tenacious and conscientious— persevering in advancing a worthy cause, and unwavering even in the face of danger and adversity,” dagdag ng opisyal.
Kabilang sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno na nagpaabot ng pagbati sa 35-anyos na Pinoy fighter si Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.
“He (Pacquiao) showed us that he has the true heart of a champion and once again, made us all proud to be Filipinos,” saad sa pahayag ni Binay.
Bagamat mas mahaba ang braso at mas matangkad ang Amerikanong boksingero, sinabi ni Binay na nangibabaw ang puso at determinasyon ni Pacquiao na naging susi ng matagumpay nitong pagdedepensa sa WBO welterweight championship title laban kay Algieri.
