CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga— Sinabi ni Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President/CEO Arthur Tugade na full operation na ang tatlong ektaryang container depot sa loob ng Freeport Zone para pagsilbihan ang empty container vans na nagsisiksikan sa Port of Manila at iba pang mga daungan sa Northern at Central Luzon.
Nagkabisa ang operasyon ng container yard sa paglagda ng lease agreement ng CDC at ng CargoHaus Inc. noong nakaraang linggo.
“It (use of depot) was immediately implemented after the signing. We want to inform cargo businesses, including our locators that the depot is now open,’’ aniya.
“This is the first container yard ever in an eco-zone, and this is the first time in the history of CDC that we will be addressing issues on clogged ports and traffic congestion apart from settling the concerns of our locators,’’ dagdag niya.
Nakasaad sa lease deal ang paggamit ng Freeport property malapit sa airport bilang storage house ng empty containers na nagmula sa Subic patungong Metro Manila, Southern, Central at Northern Luzon o vice versa.
Nakasaad din ang specific routes sa mga trailer na nagdadala ng empty vans na iiwasan ang trapik sa McArthur higway sa iba pang national higways.
