Ang toy manufacturer ay nakikipagtulungan sa US labels na Lord & Taylor, Wildfox at Forever 21, upang i-recreate ang wardrobe ng iconic doll mula Fifties, Eighties at Nineties, para sa kanilang ready-to-wear collections.

Sabi ng senior vice president at manager ng Mattel na si Jessica Dunne sa WWD: ‘’I think what people pay attention to is Barbie the toy, and what we’re trying to focus on is that Barbie is a brand much bigger than an 11-inch fashion doll.

‘’We have fans of Barbie of all ages, and many girls that once played with them have grown up.
