Iniutos ng Supreme Court (SC) ang anim na buwang preventive suspension sa isang regional trial court (RTC) judge sa Malabon City sa diumano’y walang ingat na pag-isyu ng mga search warrant.
Sinuspinde sa rekomendasyon ng Office of the Court Administrator (OCA) si Judge Zaldy B. Docena.
“The Court resolved … to preventively suspend, effective immediately, Judge Zaldy B. Docena, RTC Branch 170, Malabon City, for six months pending the completion of a more comprehensive and detailed investigation on the issuance of search warrants,” nakasaad sa resolusyon ng SC.
Inatasan ang OCA, pinamumunuan ni Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez, na “immediately seal/secure all records/folders pertaining to the applications for search warrant received by Judge Docena.”

Nadiskubre ang diumano’y indiscriminate issuance ng mga search warrant nang magsagawa ang OCA ng spot audit sa Branch 170 na pinamumunuan ni Docena.
Bilang resulta ng suspensiyon ni Docena, ipinalit sa kanyang puwesto si Malabon City RTC Executive Judge Celso Raymundo Magsino. Isinama siya ng SC sa imbestigasyon.
Nakasaad sa parehong resolusyon na si Judge Magsino ay inaalis sa kanyang mga tungkulin bilang executive judge at “include him in the investigation in view of the apparent irregularity in the raffle of applications for search warrants.”
Iniutos din ng resolution ang pagtatalaga kina Judge Jimmy Edmund Batara, Branch 72, at Judge Emmanuel Laurea, Branch 169, bilang mga executive judge at vice executive judge, ayon sa pagkakabanggit, ng Malabon City RTC.
